Jiří Socha, the Managing Director of the Auto Service Division and the Proxy Holder of TÜV SÜD Czech, was newly appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Automotive Industry Association at the General Meeting. Petr Ostrý, the Executive Head of Agados, a manufacturer of trailers, was also appointed as a member of the Board of Directors.
They replaced Pavel Juříček, the General Manager of Brano Group, and Martin Šustek from Tatra Trucks, on the eleven-member Board.
The Association also announced that they have begun working on a common educational project for member companies. The CZK 20 million project is funded by the Employment Operational Programme from the Call on Education – A Joint Journey to Development. There are more than 150 industry-related member companies in the Association.
The Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP) was founded on 27 June 1989, when seventeen organisations executed the Contract on the Association of Organisations in the Automotive Industry as an association without legal personality. Legal personality was acquired by incorporation in the Register of Companies on 19 June 1991, based on the “Memorandum of the Automotive Industry Association”.
