ADR – European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road
RID – International Rule for Transport of Dangerous Substances by Railway
ADR and RID contain requirements regarding the transport of dangerous goods; these are both general requirements and classifications, listing of dangerous goods, provisions on use of casing and tanker containers, marking, requirements regarding construction and testing of casing, large vessels, tankers and tanker containers. TÜV SÜD Czech performs assessment of conformity and testing of new casings for transport of gasses, tankers, and tanker containers for the transport of dangerous substances class 2,3,4,5,6,8,9 and periodic tests of tankers in operation.

ADR - European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road stated in the Collection of International Treaties of the CR under No. 14/2007 as the Notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs amending Notification No. 159/1997 Coll., No. 186/1998 Coll., No. 54/1999 Coll., No. 93/2000 Coll. m. s., No. 6/2002 Coll. m. s., No. 65/2003 Coll. m. s., No. 77/2004 Coll. m. s. and No. 33/2005 Coll. m. s. on the Declaration of Acceptance of Changes and Amendments of the "Appendix A – General Provisions regarding Hazardous Substances and Articles " and "Appendix B - Provisions on Transport Means and on Transport " of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road. Changes and amendments to the "Appendix A" and " Appendix B" became effective following article 14 (3) of the ADR Agreement on 1st January 2007 and on this day they also came into force for the Czech Republic. At the same time the validity of "Appendix A" and "Appendix B" announced before 1st January 2007 terminates on 30th June 2007 unless provided otherwise in the new temporary provisions.
RID - the Notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs amending Notification No. 61/1991 Coll., No. 251/1991 Coll., No. 29/1998 Coll., No. 60/1999 Coll., No. 9/2002 Coll. m. s., No. 46/2003 Coll. m. s., No. 8/2004 Coll. m. s. and No. 34/2005 Coll. m. s. on Declaration of changes and amendments of the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF), adopted in Bern on 9th May 1980, declared under No. 8/1985 Coll., amended by the Protocol of 1990, published under No. 274/1996 Coll. and the Protocol of 1999, published under No. 49/2006 Coll. m. s. Changes and Amendments to the International Rule for Transport of Dangerous Substances by Railway came into force based on Article 35 section 3 of the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) on 1st January 2007 and on this day they also came into force for the Czech Republic.
