Cableways and ski lifts

Brief characterization of the product / service:

Cableways and ski lifts belong to hazardous personal transport cable equipment, with technical conditions and especially safety that require qualified and systematic care. This care consists of meeting demanding requirements of regulations and standards during the processes of designing, assembly, operation, servicing, and repairing.
TÜV SÜD Czech s.r.o. as the Notified Body 1017 performs conformity assessment of safety elements and partial systems prior to their market launch, according to European harmonized standards and European legislation.
Simultaneously, as an inspection body under the standard ČSN EN 17025, we perform the following activities:
• Inspection of cableways and ski lifts prior to their commissioning according to ČSN EN 1709
• Expert assistance when processing risk analyses and safety reports
• Assessment of the technical condition of cableways and ski lifts
• Non-destructive testing of bearing and tow steel cables and bearing steel structures

 

Legislation / standards:

Conformity assessment is performed in accordance with Act No. 22/1997 Coll. as amended and pursuant to Government Decree No. 70/2002 Coll. (Directive RE 2000/9/ES) using harmonized European standards and other related standards and regulations.
We perform inspection and assessment of the technical condition of operated cableways and ski lifts including non-destructive testing of steel cables according to all currently effective Czech and European standards.

Manufacturers and suppliers of safety components and partial systems of cableways and ski lifts, operators and owners of cableways and ski lifts.
