Electromagnetic compatibility is the ability of a device to operate in a satisfactory manner in an electromagnetic environment without causing inadmissible electromagnetic interference to another device in this environment.

Legislation / standards:

Assessment of electromagnetic compatibility of a device is used to verify its functions and that it does not affect other devices in an electromagnetic environment, i.e. the equipment meets the basic requirements stated in the technical specification.
