Certification of building contractors

Brief characterization of the product / service:

The system of certified building contractors is defined by Act No. 137/2006 Coll. on Public Contracts; the System of Certified Building Contractors has been formed for Section 45 – Building Industry.
Act No. 137/2006 Coll. on Public Contracts defines the System of Certified Contractors for all kinds of public contracts not only construction contracts. The objective of certification is to ensure that expertly competent contractors are qualified in conformity with qualification requirements in accordance with the law.
Pursuant to that the Association of Building Entrepreneurs in the CR has created the System of Certified Building Contractors (SCSD). It stipulates the conditions under which a building contractor applying for a public contract acquires a certificate documenting meeting all four qualification requirements within the scope according to the particular data stated in it.

A contractor is qualified if he proves he meets the following criteria:
• basic qualification requirements
• professional qualification requirements
• economical and financial qualification requirements
• technical qualification requirements
Meeting these requirements is established by law.
